So if you follow me on Instagram, this may not come as a surprise to you, but for the last 2 weeks I have been in California. I would be more specific, but honestly, I… More
In love with these gorgeous light-wash overalls! They are so stylish, ending as shorts and I love to wear them with a cute plain, or graphic tee. In these pictures, though, I am wearing a white tee from Forever 21, which has a cute phrase in red, on the front. On this occasion, I was out with a friend and we were headed around town. We popped into a vintage store and I found this amazing Gucci bag!!! I was completely in shock as I paid for the bag and absolutely love it with this look 🙂 I was way too lazy to do my hair 😉 so I decided to put it up into a messy ponytail which I think complements the outfit as it’s a very laid back style. Also, wearing your overalls with only one shoulder helps to create that careless vibe. If you wanted to dress up the overalls, though, you could opt for a white off the shoulder blouse and heels! FYI The shoes are from H&M and the tee and overalls are from Forever 21 😉 If you want to know more about where my outfits are from, check out my Instagram because I often tag the brands that I wear.
Have you ever found yourself at a time in your life where you want to pursue something, but you are afraid that you won’t succeed or you might have an outcome that you hadn’t expected? I definitely have 🙂 To be honest, that was me when I decided that I wanted to start blogging and get more involved with fashion. I kept thinking about it and finally decided to start a blog. I found amazing bloggers on Instagram that had made blogging their full-time job and they were travelling and endorsing brands that I love 😉 I aspire to be like them one day, but obviously, I’m not quite there yet. I know that it’s really hard to make it on Instagram because there are so many bloggers that are way better than me. But still, I feel like that can’t hold me back because I finally realize that there are always going to be people who are better than you, but as long as you are doing your best, you can always succeed. Now, I have decided to never compare my work to others, but to use them as motivations and create goals that will get me to where I want to be.
BE BLAMED LIKE ME is something that I have come up with so that I can share ways that I have taken control of my life and I’m to blame for the outcome 🙂 That means to say that when I achieve a goal, it’s because I did it myself and therefore, I’m to blame. I know that it’s really hard to take control of your own life and strive to achieve goals sometimes, so I want to hear (from anyone thats willing to share) what their experience was and why they are proud of themselves!!! If you are eager to share, please leave me a message via email: firstname.lastname@example.org or dm me on Instagram: @blondetoblamee 🙂
I came across these striped pants whilst shopping and, to be honest, I really wasn’t sure about them, and whether or not they were my style. Anyways, I left the store and walked around the mall for a little bit, still thinking about those pants. I couldn’t resist. I went back. I bought them. I love them. I have no regrets.
Actually, talking about regrets, the first time I wore them, I went out to get a snack with my friend and we decided to head to the beach (not a great idea when wearing white pants and walking through water :)) Thank god for bleach… 😉
Anyways, I love wearing these pants with a tank top that’s tucked in because it dresses down the look a little, but if you wanted to make it a bit more fancy and spice up the look a little, you could wear an off-the-shoulder blouse and some cute block heels. 🙂 If I were you, I’d invest in some of these pants because you can literally wear them on any occasion!
Yesterday afternoon, I headed to a small town for a quick coffee break. It had been raining all day, but when we got there, the rain had finally let up. I walked around for a while, until I found this hidden gem of a coffee shop called Rocanini. All of the baked goods looked amazing, So I decided to treat myself to a square of carrot cake 🙂 I’m glad I did, it was amazing!!! After sitting there and sipping some iced tea, I decided to head to the harbour where I saw a sea lion 🙂
Overall, the town was really cool and the café was so good! They even had a really cool way of making/brewing coffee that made me want to get some more 😉
Wow, how do I even start this? Was it even real or was I dreaming? This place that we went to get photos at was incredible! It was so beautiful and sunny and for the first time this year, it actually felt like summer… The best part was that I got to experience it with my best friend 🙂 If you have time after reading this, go check out @sophieinstyle on Instagram, or go follow her blog called Sophie In Style. She’s a model and a fashion blogger, too, so whenever we go out to get some pictures, she teaches me more about modelling/posing and I teach her how to make photos even better!
These photos were so much fun to take because we got to explore so much 😉 Although it was the middle of the day, we still got eaten alive by mosquitos and any other bugs living in the grass. The only thing keeping me from running outta there was the phrase “Do it for the photos.” that I kept telling myself. On the last photo, we found this really cool tree that had curved into an archway. It was amazing to see how the nature had spread and how overgrown it was.
In these photos, I was wearing my new denim, embroidered skirt, and my favourite white blouse that goes off-the-shoulder (that’s a big trend this summer ;)) I was also wearing my black/navy wedges that are absolutely gorgeous!
This outfit is the result of a really funny story. I was looking through some old clothes and I found this and thought it was cool. My friend, on the other hand, did not. She said it was weird and so I tried it on, and she loved it. And I was right. Like I always am 😉 If you haven’t already noticed, I am ALWAYS right.
Anyways, I wore this shirt with a cute black bralette showing through and black jeans. I love this maroon, velvet choker because it matched so well with the oversized blouse. I love these new shoes from JustFab.ca too! They are the cutest wedges 🙂
So the other day I was out for a shop (as usual :)) and I came across this awesome denim skirt that has cute embroidered flowers on the sides. Right now, I’m pretty obsessed with it because it’s something that I never thought that I could pull off. You might have already heard that this is a big trend this summer. If you have, good on ya 😉 But if not, here’s a guide on what to style it with and what embroidered pieces you want vs. which ones you don’t.
When I style my outfit’s, I usually go for a simple look with a bold statement piece. This would be the first tip to follow: EMBROIDERY IS THE STATEMENT PIECE. This means that I, personally, wouldn’t wear embroidery with other embroidery or a pattern. I would go for a simple blouse or cute tee.
Another tip is to KNOW YOUR STYLE. Embroidery can be styled in various different ways, so make sure that you know what you want to look like. If it’s more of a biker jacket, go for a look that is less girly so that it matches. Don’t wear it with a skirt for example! But if it’s on a denim piece, its more girly, so I would wear it with a blouse or skirt, etc 😉
My last tip would be to WORK IT GURL!!! Own that embroidery and walk around like you own the place. Confidence is key. I know it’s often really hard to be confident in your own skin, but you need to remember that you are you. If anyone tries to change that, they shouldn’t be a part of your life! Nobody should try to drag you down, just remember that 🙂
When choosing the embroidered pieces you want in your wardrobe, I’d always go for something that’s you 🙂 Honestly, if you love it, it shouldn’t matter what others think. In my opinion, I like to go for things like jackets, shorts and denim skirts because I feel like they are things that I can wear over and over, but change the look a little bit…
